She has written several scientific bestsellers, including Fire, Ice, and Physics, The Elegant Universe, and The Fabric of the Cosmos. A PhD in physics, she also holds an interest in Game of Thrones and science fiction. Her books are based on her extensive research into science.

Among her favorite subjects are the history of the universe and the nature of space and time. These interviews are accompanied by footage from the Emmy Award-winning Netflix documentary series Our Planet.
